Pondering Shark’s Dental Hygiene

I often do collages with no intended meaning or narrative and then something occurs to me upon completion. That’s not to say that my thoughts are in any way definitive. I like leaving things open-ended and I like when people see things I never thought of.

Some random components rose to the top of my collage table pile tonight – the reason, beyond laziness, that I lag on organizing it – they don’t really have a logic to them, yet they converged. Should the shark brush his teeth after eating the cake? Would he be full enough of cake not to eat the arms holding the toothbrush? Don’t sharks have endless rows of teeth to lose, so they don’t worry about brushing? And who even knew that sharks had a sweet tooth?
